Horror Fans Would Love Dragon Age Inquisition

Dragon Age Inquisition was my first medieval RPG game that I started to play during my college years, and I instantly fell in love with the game. Even though the gameplay was a bit mixed with many fans, the story, the characters, and the horror elements presented throughout the story are what makes the game work for me as a fan.

We focus on the Inquisitor, a random character that we get to play that becomes the leader of a kingdom, using a power to hold off a huge threat known as The Fade, along with an old foe that is determined to end the world. We as the player work together with multiple friends and comrades to defeat all kinds of demons, people, or even monsters.

One sequence that worked so well for me was when the player has the choice to side with a group of knights, powerful soldiers who are willing to fight alongside the player. The Inquisitor is pulled into a nightmarish hellscape during the Fade, when the player meets a demon, who is able to manipulate the environment around you. We as the player witness an evil version of our comrades, being used to mock the player as the demon is having fun with us. It's probably the only scary sequence in the whole game, but it's so effective for me as a horror fan.

There is so much freedom for you as a player, and it's one of the biggest reasons why this game will always be seen as a masterpiece to me.
