American Primeval is a Brutal and Raw Take on the Wild West

I was so curious to see what the hype was all about when it came to American Primeval. Fans kept going crazy online, saying that show was freaking violent and tough to watch.

I decided to give the first episode a watch, and damn…my expectations were blown out the window.

I’m going to be going over some major spoilers for the first episode, so please turn back now if you want to check out the show for yourself!

Viewer discretion is strongly advised however, because the first episode is INSANE.

Alright. Here is what took place in the first episode.

We follow the story of a woman named Sara Rowell that is traveling with her son named Devin. She is determined to reach her husband in a place called Crooks, and is desperate to reach her husband.

When she realizes that her guide abandoned Sara and her son, she asks for help by a mysterious man named Issac. He outright rejects their offer to help them reach Sara’s husband, but Issac ends up following the family duo secretly, to make sure that they will be alright.

A group of people offers Sara Rowell help, and two of the characters are a married couple named Jacob and Abish, who are kind souls who offer them refuge and transportation.

The group travels to a plot of land to rest and spend time together, while being looked over by fighters who will watch over them. Unfortunately, they are warned by a small group to leave that land, or major consequences would follow.

They don’t listen, and what happens next is beyond shocking and sick to watch.

Sara Rowell is revealed to be a killer that is wanted for murder. The bounty on her head is $1,500, and a lot of bad people are wanting that money. Then we get another kick in the balls when the group Sara and her son are traveling with are brutally murdered.

The same group that warned them beforehand, shows up with a bigger army to ruthlessly kill anyone that stands in their way.

We get a full-on massacre, and man, it’s so hard to watch these people pay the price that only wanted to relax and move on. Jacob is scalped, and Abish is kidnapped by the evil group who murdered everyone.

Sara and her son are saved last minute by Issac, and he lures them away from the attack. He offers them food and safety as he watches over the duo.

We then cut to the ending of the episode, revealing that Jacob survived his scalp attack. And he is pissed off when he realizes that Abish is missing.

Like…what the hell?

I’m a huge fan of horror, but when it comes to real-life history events, it really bothers me. How I was able to get through this entire episode is crazy, and man…there are a lot of evil people in this show.

I can’t wait until they all die.
And I can’t wait for the next episode!
