What was Audrey Horne's Fate at the End of Twin Peaks?

Image
Credit to  10 Things We Learned From Twin Peaks: The Return Part 12 – Page 8 Audrey Horne makes a return to the stellar Twin Peaks: The Return, the final season of this fantastic series. Audrey Horne is given one of the saddest fates in the show, but I was also left confused with what her fate was supposed to represent. Audrey Horne is revealed to be married to a man that she is obviously unhappy with. His name is Charlie, and Audrey straight up admits that she is cheating on him with a guy named Billy, who is missing. She demands Charlie to help her look for him, but Charlie continues to complain about the situation, aggravating Audrey to the point that she attacks him in their home.  I guess that crazy encounter convinced Charlie to go to the Roadhouse with Audrey, and there is still some disdain between them when Audrey refused to toast her drink to their marriage. Then while Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam is performing, we get a strange scene with Audrey. The crowd cle...

The Scariest Scene in Silent Hill History

Image
Credit to  Silent Hill 2's prison scene is still one of gaming's most disturbing sequences to date | GamesRadar+ While the Silent Hill franchise is known for the scariest scenes in video game history, there is one scene that is a total standout among the entire franchise. Silent Hill 2 is considered to be one of the best games in the franchise, and there is one scene that scares the crap out of me to this day.  Silent Hill 2 follows the story of James Sunderland, who has come to Silent Hill to search for his dead wife, who has mysteriously sent him a letter. She has been dead for three years, and he comes to this town, to get answers with how his dead wife was about to reach out to him. He meets a counterpart of his wife, who looks just like her. Her name is Maria, and James travels with her during their journey through the town, as they try to stay alive when confronted by monsters.  The duo is bested by a monster known as Pyramid Head later on in the story, and M...

'Rick and Ruby' is a Unique Vampire Tale that Needs its Own Movie

Image
Credit to Rick and Ruby (Short 2019) - IMDb Rick and Ruby is a short horror film that was released back in 2019, that follows the story of a young woman that is dragging a heavy suitcase. She comes across a bar, filled with dangerous men. They attempt to harm her, but she is luckily saved by the strange suitcase.  That happens to be carrying a person inside.  It's a young guy, named Rick.  He is happy to get out of the suitcase, and smokes a cigarette, as he tells the men his life story. It appears that Rick is not human anymore, and must avoid the sun at all costs. The men don't believe him, and even get creeped out by him, when Rich starts to hit on one of the men. They shoot him, and then Rick suddenly stands back up, acting like he never got shot.  The men freak out over this realization, and the duo attack the men.  Ruby gets the upper hand with a stick that is used for pool, beating one of the men with the stick. Rick get full on feral, using his su...

Silent Hill 4: The Room is in Desperate Need of a Remake

Image
Credit to  Silent Hill 4: The Room on GOG.com Silent Hill 4 has always been seen as the most underrated game of the Silent Hill franchise, when it comes to the original first four games that gained a huge fanbase. This entry is known for daring to do something different, by having the main character been trapped within his own apartment, his home no longer being a safe haven. We follow a shy guy named Henry Townsend, who is confused with why he one days wakes up to find that his room is chained up on the inside, and he is not able to leave his room.  The only way for Henry to step 'outside,' is to enter a hole that suddenly appears in his bathroom. Whenever he enters this hole, he is teleported to another world, where he meets multiple characters, who are ruthlessly killed by an unknown killer. Upon returning to the world, he learns that if you die in this other world, you will also die in the real world. He becomes determined to figure out who is behind the killings, o...

Evil Dead Burn Looks Like Another Great Entry for the Franchise

Image
Credit to YouTube I recently watched the new teaser trailer for the new Evil Dead film for the franchise, called Evil Dead Burn. This is one of the most original teaser trailers from the franchise so far, including among the horror genre this year! From the premise I have read about online, we are going to be following another family.  A widow returns home to her family, but somehow, they awaken the demons into their home, and the family is now under attack.  We see what I presume to be the main character, is trying to escape from the terrifying situation happening in her home. A family member is being ruthlessly attacked by a possessed person, being thrown around and slammed against parts of the house as the woman is trying to crawl away.  One other family member falls in front of her, and is then flown into the air as she continues to crawl to safety.  We then get a creepy background shot of one person floating toward the family member that is currently gett...

'Gotta Light' is the Best Episode of Twin Peaks

Image
Credit to  Gotta light? : r/twinpeaks I kept hearing about one specific episode from Twin Peaks, that was considered to be one of the best episodes ever written for a television show. I finally understand what fans meant by this, and episode 8 of season 3 of Twin Peaks, is one of the best episodes in television history.  Even though I didn't understand half of what was happening, the visuals, the insanity that was taking place created a fever dream that I will never forget.  Season 3 of Twin Peaks continues straight from the ending of season 2, where our main character named Dale Cooper, became trapped in a dimension known as the Black Lodge. His evil doppelganger took his place in the real world, and tormented so many people that Cooper was close to, along with murder. His evil doppelganger has been in the real world for 25 years, and someone finally got the jump on this monster.  He was working together with a man that he was aware had betrayed him, and he w...

War of the Worlds (2005) Features One of the Most Terrifying Scenes in Horror Cinema

Image
Credit to  War of the Worlds (2005) — Review — Mana Pop My family and I were having a nice homecooked dinner of burgers when my sister decided to put on an old film I haven’t seen in years. I recognized Tom Cruise, and realized we were watching War of the Worlds, the remake that was released in 2005. I had seen this film years ago, and couldn’t remember how the aliens arrived to planet Earth. I completely forgot that the aliens had cut off complete contact for the human race, watches stopped, cars stopped working, electricity was gone…the goal was to leave humans completely hopeless. Then something crashed onto the Earth, crashing in the town where the main character and his two children lived. My heart stopped when a tripod emerged slowly out of the ground in the middle of the road, as people watched this thing slowly rise in aw...

Why Are There So Many Different Books of the Dead in the Evil Dead Franchise?

Image
Credit to  Haunting Texts and Eldritch Tomes: Seven Scary Books That Thankfully Aren’t Real - Reactor The one thing that I have noticed about the Evil Dead franchise is how many books appear to exist in the franchise. I'm aware that the Evil Dead television show has explained the Evil Dead lore, but I'd rather go over the books, since Evil Dead's Army of Darkness specifically mentions three different Books of the Dead that appear in the old trilogy, the Evil Dead remake, and the recent entry of Evil Dead Rise.  Three different books are present only the films, and now, we are getting a fourth Book of the Dead in Evil Dead Burn, the newest entry in the franchise that will be releasing this summer.  I have a theory as to why are there are so many Books of the Dead.  Here is the information that we are aware of: The books are all made out of human skin, and are inked in blood.  There are three books present in the old trilogy, and the other two from Evil Dea...

Obsession is Now My New Obsession

Image
Credit to Obsession Review: A Confident Crowd-Pleaser With A Killer Lead Performance I have seen the recent trailer to the one of the most anticipated horror movies among horror fans. Obsession has captured my attention sometime this year when I watched the first teaser trailer. We only knew that some random young dude was calling customer service, asking if there was any way to undo a wish. The man on the other line assures him that undoing a wish is impossible, and this random guy appears quite concerned over this realization.  This concept immediately caught my attention, because it’s pretty rare to see a horror movie like this. Or a good horror movie with this concept, because from the ones I had seen in the past, none of these films were able to get this concept right.  Now it appears that one finally did.  From the new trailer that we horror fans have been introduced to; it looks like it’s going to be a wild ride.  This young man has a major crush on thi...

Why the Vought Rising Prequel is a Good Idea for The Boys

Image
Credit to  'The Boys' Boss Eric Kripke Breaks Down Soldier Boy's Reaction to Butcher's Supe Virus (Exclusive) While I am against spinoffs in Hollywood, because I see it as either a cash grab or writers are running out of ideas, I'm completely fine with prequels. Having a before story is always so fun to watch, because we are able to get a glimpse into the past, and how so many events transpired in the future. The prequel to The Boys, Vought Rising, is a damn good idea for this franchise.  And it's even better that Soldier Boy is going to be one of the lead stars.  Soldier Boy's character is a bit of an asshole in The Boys, and dude doesn't appear to give a damn about anyone but himself. He did go through the trauma of his old team known as Payback, selling him out to people to become experimented on, but I think his team's actions were justified, because he didn't appear to treat his own group the best.  Soldier Boy also didn't hesitate to ...

Possession (1981) is a Metaphor of a Crumbling Marriage

Image
Credit to  Possession (1981) – Andrzej Zulawski – The Mind Reels Possession is one of the most brutal horror films ever made. It feels like you're being exposed to the personal lives of a family, and it feels so wrong to watch these people stuck in a failing marriage. This movie is about a young woman who admits to her husband that she is having an affair, and wants to leave him. He becomes outraged and obsessed with her, angry that she would dare to ruin their marriage, and leave behind their only son.  The couple beat each other and appear to even take a sick delight with harming one another, as they both try to navigate this toxic love now within their marriage. During the film, we later learn the man that Anna, the wife, is having an affair with. It turns out to be a real monster, a creature that has appeared to latch onto Anna, leaving her wanting more, and turning her into a crazed mad woman. Mark, the husband, eventually finds out about this creature, and instead...
