I Will Never Forgive Konami for the Cancellation of Silent Hills

I don't think I will ever get over the cancellation of Silent Hills. This game was announced back in 2014, and a demo of the game was even placed on the PS4 console. The writers for the story were going to involve the creator of the Metal Gear Games and Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima, along with Guillermo Del Toro, who has directed and made a lot of fantastic horror/fantasy films.

And then to top it off, we got Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead as the main protagonist of the game.

So yes, I was obviously damn excited.

And then the game was cancelled.

It pisses me off what this game could have been.

From the trailers I had seen, I was for sure not really vibing with the jump scares, but the rest of the game looked beautiful. I cannot imagine what sort of story was going to be written for this game. With two amazing writers that already have experience with horror-related media, and an actor from a zombie show...just what the hell happened???

This felt like it was going to be a perfect videogame...and it would have been quite the comeback for the franchise of Silent Hill. What a shame that we will never know what sort of masterpiece this game could have been...

So...yeah. I will never forgive Konami for this cancellation.

But I also can't really stay mad at them, since they did bring back Silent Hill 2 as a remake years later.

I got a love/hate relationship with Konami, I guess.
