The Blob Features the Worst Way to Die in a Horror Movie

I'm seen my fair share of horror movies, but I think that The Blob 1988 remake features the worst way to die in a horror movie. I cannot stand any of the deaths that take place in this film. The Blob is a creature that comes from space, and is willing to eat anything to sustain its survival.
But none of its victims will die quickly. The Blob will take its time, digesting every single victim alive.
I remember when I was a kid, I struggled to get through the entire film. Watching everyone die like that was difficult for me to watch. And it didn't help that an actual kid bit the dust when the blob latched onto a poor child and consumed him alive.
IN FRONT OF HIS BEST FRIEND.
DUDE...THAT IS BRUTAL.
It's also one of the few horror movies where plot armor doesn't exist for any character. If the blob found anyone, they would straight up die. I wish all horror movies did that...but I think this is the first horror film where I was hoping not to see a kid die.
Cause getting digested alive...that is extremely painful and slow.
