I Accidentally Deleted a Horror Story From a New Writing Platform I Found
I feel like I just got my ass kicked. I experienced one of the worst feelings in the world just now, and I haven’t felt this in years.
A horror story I had finished up got completely deleted.
I had found a new writing platform called Vocal Media, and I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately, for this site, you need to click on save changes, or the story will automatically be deleted. It warned me two times before I got out of the page, but I mistaken the site for being like Medium.
I went back to check on my draft, just because.
And it was gone.
Completely gone.
I got so mad. It was one of my absolute favorite horror stories I ever worked on. And I lost it.
What the hell was that???
I was going to write a future article about Vocal Media, but I wanted to share one thing I already hate about the site. It doesn’t save automatically like Medium does. And it’s impossible to get back the story you lost, compared to Medium.
What kind of a writing site is that????
That’s horseshit.
So, I’m going to have to rewrite the story I lost.
Thanks a lot, Vocal Media.
News flash for any writer interested in trying out this new writing platform. Vocal Media doesn’t have an autosave. So, if you don’t save, you will lose your story. Just wanted to give you writers a heads up.
