Cannibal Holocaust is One of the Most Controversial Horror Films Ever Made

Cannibal Holocaust is probably one of the most messed up horror films ever brought to screen. I’ve seen a lot of horror films that have surprised me with how much they got away with on screen, but this film…it really stayed with me in the worst way.

And that is because I haven’t even seen the film.

I heard and read enough true facts behind this film that have left me in shock. I can’t believe the director even got away with creating this film. Of course, the film did lead to one huge consequence that I did not see coming.

I think once you’re done reading this, you might freak out with what you’re about to find out. I’m going to leave a warning here, because the facts behind this film are pretty disturbing. Viewer discretion is strongly advised.

3. The film featured extremely graphic content that left a lot of viewers disturbed.

I have to say that if the director was determined to make a film for shock value, he definitely succeeded. From what I heard about this film, the storyline is beyond sickening. The story follows a crew of filmmakers who stumble upon a tribe, but only their footage is found.

Once the footage is reviewed, everyone watching the footage realizes that the filmmakers were pure evil. They had tortured this tribe in the worst ways imaginable, all for the chance to capture the footage they desperately want to become famous.

The crew is then murdered for their evil actions by the tribe, and each of them get a taste of their own medicine…in horrific ways. I think the intention of the film was to focus on how evil humanity is, and what can happen if evil continues to harm the innocent.

2. The director was accused of murdering his own cast.

Yes, you read that right.

The director literally went to court, and he had to bring his cast members as prove that none of them were murdered. I’m not playing, if you ever watch this film, (I don’t ever care to), the film looks way too real.

While The Blair Witch Project caused a lot of people to question the authentic footage, Cannibal Holocaust was one of the few found footage films that made people question if the film was actually real.

While this does suck that the director did go through this, I can’t exactly feel bad for the guy.

And this is the biggest reason why I don’t care to ever watch this film.

1. The film involved real animal deaths.

I can’t believe that this was even allowed.

It pisses me off so bad that real animals had to suffer through the making of this film. You would think that the director and his crew would create fake animals for the film, since they made the human deaths look way too real.

But no, they decide to go down the most messed up route, killing real animals for the film. From what I learned about this film, a lot of people don’t care to watch this film for the same reason. Why would I want to watch real animals get butchered on screen?

I don’t know what the hell the director and the crew were thinking, but man, shame on them for doing something so EVIL.
I don’t care to ever watch this film. EVER.
