I have recently discussed a new app I have found through many writing platforms. I had heard about this new thing with Instagram, that they were going to include an extra app that would be kind of like texting people online. 

I was not expecting to find a whole online community of horror fans. 

I’m not kidding when I say this, but people really do share their love of horror through this particular app. 

Threads feels like I’m talking with random people in person, discussing all kinds of horror topics. 

This is the first social media app that I find myself scrolling through random horror topics every day, and posting random horror stuff that horror fans interact with.

You can apparently get paid on Threads too, once you reach 100 followers. And I think you have to be invited by Instagram too. I’m curious how that works. If it ever happens with me, I’ll be sure to let you guys know in a future article!

I love Threads so far. I’m thinking of advertising my horror content through there, like maybe my TikTok mini horror stories and even my horror blog. I think that would be so freaking fun to do!

Pearl is a Wicked and Horrific Start to a Memorable Horror Trilogy

Mia Goth pulls off such a likable character with terrifying tendencies of murder and mayhem. Pearl  is actually a prequel to one of my favorite horror films,  X , and is the middle chapter in a trilogy. This trilogy was directed by Ti West, and it featured Mia Goth playing two different characters, as both the antagonist and the protagonist in this trilogy. The prequel starts off Mia as the villain, Pearl. Unlike the protagonist, Maxine, that has her dreams come true, Pearl isn’t exactly given the same happy ending. If it hadn’t been for her killer self, maybe she would have had a chance in the ‘star world.’ Instead, we are given a total downfall of Pearl embracing her monstrous side, killing anyone that stands in her way. Are We Horror Fans Finally Getting an R.L. Stine Fear Street Movie?

Stine is known for creating the iconic Goosebumps series for children, he also created a horror series for young adults, known as the Fear Street novels.  I felt that this series was extremely underrated, and I always wondered if there would ever be a movie on any of these horror novels one day.  We did get a trilogy of Fear Street on Netflix, but I’ll be referring to his standalone horror novels for this article. We are getting a film based on one of his books, Prom Queen, that will be releasing sometime this year.  This story is a pretty simple slasher tale.
