My Online Writing Journey with the Horror Genre Has Been Shocking

I think it would be easier to share how I’m doing on every single online platform in one article. Sharing separate articles would become a bit too tedious, so I want to share everything at once to show my progress with the use of the horror genre!

So, here is my progress with all of my writing platforms:

Substack: I got 4 subscribers so far. I don’t want to charge anyone to read my work, I believe in making everything free to read for my horror fans.

Blogger: I have achieved 2,494 views so far. This is insane, and I barely started my blog sometime this year. My goal is to hit 3,000 before the month ends!

Vocal Media: I have started a brand new writing platform, and I was in shock to earn $15.54 so far. I heard that this platform is hard to earn reads, but it looks like it’s working! My short horror stories are a big hit!

Benable: I have already achieved reaching the $80 payout through the app, but I have made about $6 again for my new payout. I’m determined to reach $80 again!

Now, here is the results for fun stuff:

TikTok: I now have 33 followers and almost 400 likes. I have been posting mini horror stories on the app, and I have reached about 1,600 for one of my videos about a fake kidnapping. Yes, I mostly post fake stories, but only two of them are real.

YouTube: I’m pretty much posting the same old horror stories that I do on TikTok, and the results have been pretty shocking. I have now reached 19,000 views!

Gumroad: I think I might give up on this app. I feel like I’m tackling too much at once, and I’m also looking for jobs at the same time. The last thing I need is making my mind lose a couple of brain cells from all of this online madness lol.

Threads: This is one of my favorite platforms. It really feels like I found my community of horror fans. I now have gained 27 followers, and people seem to really enjoy reading my random posts about all kinds of horror topics! I even reached 14,000ish views for one of my Thread posts over zombies!

I’m so curious to see where my online journey takes me! Whoever thought the horror genre would help me in the long run?
