The Conspiracy is Unlike Any Found Footage Film I Have Seen in Horror

We all know about those crazy conspiracy theorists that exist out there in the world. Who claim that a huge mystery is all around us, we are just too blind and unaware to notice this strange phenomenon.

The Conspiracy is a film that focuses on the journey of two men who decide to embark on a journey of discovering the truth, who end up receiving a far worse fate than they anticipated.

The story follows two men who create documentaries, named Jim and Aaron. They appear to get along great, having fun with their project of interviewing a crazy conspiracy theorist named Terrance.

Unfortunately, both men are then pulled into a terrifying mystery when Terrance suddenly vanishes into thin air.

Aaron and Jim discover a secret society known as the Tarsus Club.

Jim and Aaron both find out through Terrance’s work that there is a club known as the Tarsus club that only the elite attend, and are the ones behind every disaster or important event that has taken place in the world.

The two men decide to conduct their own investigation into this society, and go undercover to their club.

By this point in the film, Jim is reluctant to continue their project. He keeps warning Aaron that something bad will happen if they keep going, and his fear grows when they realize they are being followed by a black vehicle.

This part of the film honestly scared me so bad…no matter where they went, the mystery driver was always there…

Aaron becomes desperate to continue, and convinces Jim to go along with him. They both find a way to break into the club, disguising themselves as one of the elite…and the two men are then caught in the worst situation for the rest of the film.

The Tarsus Club is secretly a cult that worships a god, and they pick one person to sacrifice.

I haven’t felt so tensed up during a found footage film in the last 20 minutes since Late Night with the Devil that was released this year.

Jim and Aaron are forced to participate in the ceremony to blend in, and they are both immediately caught by the cult. Aaron is given a bull mask to be chosen as the one to be sacrificed by the cult.

While Aaron is attempting to escape, he finds Jim waiting for him in a small building. When Aaron enters the building, it turns out to be a trap set for him. The cult is hiding inside, and they attack Aaron, killing him.

It was revealed that Jim had no choice but to comply with the cult, once he found out that they had captured his family before he even arrived to the club with Aaron.

The film ends with the documentary finishing up, revealing that each guest that took part as a speaker is part of the Tarsus club.

Jim appears to be distraught, as he obviously lies that Aaron most likely ran away after what he saw that night.

That is one of the most cutthroat endings I have seen to a found footage film. It bothered me so much, knowing that people were responsible for keeping Jim and Aaron quiet about what they saw.

It wasn’t anything supernatural. It was a cult run by people, who sometimes prove that it isn’t just monsters that we have to fear in horror.
