Did Ed and Lorraine Warren Fake Their Paranormal Experiences?
The Warrens were considered to be one of the best couple duos in the paranormal world.
They had been involved in a lot of paranormal cases, and even wrote books about their discoveries.
Their hard work led to the creation of the Conjuring horror franchise, along with the spinoff of Annabelle.
While actors Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson portrayed the couple as lovable paranormal investigators that were willing to do whatever it took to protect families, I don’t think reality was really the same for the real Warren couple.
There has been quite a bit of information from several sources that believe that the Warrens were faking everything.
One source came from The New England Society for Psychic Research the Warrens found in 1952. Steven Novella was a neurologist from the society, and claimed for years that the Warrens were merely ‘great storytellers.’
The family behind the Annabelle case believed that the Warrens weren’t really honest with their paranormal experience. There are also other families that claim that they still wonder to this day if any of their paranormal experiences were real.
One of the biggest twists was that the Amityville case was determined to be a hoax.
The Lutz family was the one who purchased the home, and were forced to leave; due to the hauntings that were taking place.
None of this turned out to be true.
Others went to visit the home, but none of them experienced anything paranormal, except for the Warrens and the Lutz family. People believed that the Lutz family made everything up to get rich, and the Warrens decided to play along with the family's story.
To make things worse, they helped to write the story for the second film in the Amityville franchise, and for the sequel of Conjuring 2.
So…yeah.
I think the family obviously did all of this for a little bit of fame and money. And while the Amityville franchise was way overdone, I can't help but give credit to the sequel of The Conjuring. While it was 'jump scare ville,' in a lot of scenes, the story was pretty damn great.
And now I wonder if any of the real 'accidents' that took place with the real Annabelle doll actually happened too. I literally heard stories about the doll causing car accidents or almost killing people on the road after several people interacted or insulted the doll.
Now when I think back on any of these stories with the doll...shouldn't these stories have been big news? Or should have there been actual prove that these people went through something scary??? And were these people even real? Or did the Warrens make these people up to make the doll's presence more terrifying to the public?
I didn’t blame the public for being outraged. These allegations were pretty strong, and apparently the Warrens had ‘real footage’ of these paranormal events that they didn’t share with the world for some unknown reason.
Paranormal investigators have always given me the benefit of the doubt. I’m not sure what to believe, and I always end up trying to wrack my brain for any sign that their claims could possibly be true…or false.
It’s a shame that the Warrens sound like real fakes. How is it that the fictional versions of the couple sound better than the real ones??? That's straight up INSANE.
I was self-aware that the events that took place in the horror franchise was obviously not 100% real, but it’s sad that the movies were ten times better than the fake paranormal stories they had experienced!
