'The Bride' is One of the Best Horror Trailers I Have Seen This Year

I had only seen several images online of The Bride and the Creature sometime this year, and I thought the designs of the undead couple was so badass. Then I finally got to watch the trailer today, and I was blown away by the crazy twist I did not see coming for this interpretation of the Bride and the Creature.
It appears we are getting a Bonnie and Clyde storyline with The Creature and his Bride.
From my own theory of the trailer, The Bride is going to be a random woman who is brought back from the dead for the Creature to fall in love with. From the trailer, it appears that the Bride will fall in love with the Creature, and we even hear her call him ‘Frankie’ during one scene.
I’m beyond curious to know how they go crazy and start killing people left and right. Do they piss off a gang? Or are they taking out their anger on the living since they are both dead themselves?
And…can you imagine how people are going to be reacting once they find out about a dead couple are roaming the streets and murdering people?
This movie is going to take place in the 1930s, so yeah, I’m sure people are going to be having panic attacks once they hear about this strange couple!
Despite their murderous tendencies, they appear to have a loving relationship. The Bride toward the end of the trailer is shown for one quick second, telling the Creature that she is upset that she can’t remember her name. It looks like they are about to have a heartfelt conversation, and I’m really hoping we get a cute romance between them.

It’s insane to think that this is Christian Bale’s second horror movie role. I loved him in American Psycho, and it’s so awesome to see him return to the horror genre. I can’t wait to see his performance as the Creature, and I have seen Jessie in several roles in the past, and I think she is perfect for the part as The Bride.
It’s also crazy that we horror fans are finally getting a movie based on The Creature and The Bride after so many years. I don’t remember the last time they ever had screen time together like this, since the black and white version of their story back in the 1935.
It’s been 91 years since we have seen them together.
Let that sink in.
This sounds beyond unbelievable, but I did the math to prove it. That’s…wow. We were definitely due for a remake.
And yeah, I know that I can be a bit harsh when it comes to horror movie remakes, but I’m totally down for this one. I love the modern look the couple now has. I definitely see myself dressing up like the Bride for Halloween in 2026.
Side note: I’ve been seeing a crapload of merchandise of Frankenstein and the Bride, and I wonder if Halloween this year was hinting at the movie we were going to get in 2026.
I’m going to already say it right now: I think this could be the horror movie of the year in 2026. This is way too original, and I’m so curious what other horror movies we could possibly be getting as a contender to this film. I love the gothic nature this film has, and I think is going to be the Joker 2 that everyone wanted to watch this year.
I know that the sequel to Joker is already old news…and those who have seen it, I think you know what I’m talking about lol.
Are you guys excited for a reimagining of The Bride and the Creature?
