I’m Having a Lot of Fun with My YouTube Channel

I have finally been uploading horror videos on my YouTube channel.

It has been a fun experience.

I’m still uploading mini horror stories on my channel as well, since that was what attracted my followers to my channel in the first place. I’m so happy to see that people are watching my longer videos based on random horror topics I come up with on the spot.

The videos are so fun to make, and the best part, I found a way to hide my face! This was the main issue I had when it came to starting my YouTube channel, so I’m glad I found a way to hide myself.

What’s really cool, is that I use several horror-like items to shield my identity lol.

So far, I have gone over horror films, such as: American Psycho, Beetlejuice 2, Rear Window, The Blair Witch Project, and The Evil Dead.

I’m also planning to upload videos on horror books, TV shows, and videogames too in the near future.

I’m still trying to figure out what kind of schedule I want to have for my channel. I’m off this week from my job, so I am able to post a crapload of videos as of right now. Next 2 weeks are going to be kind of tough, but I will figure it out.

I was thinking of recording multiple videos at once in a day, to make sure I will have more videos ready for the coming busy weeks. Since my videos are pretty short, the recording part is easy and really fun to do.

When it comes to editing process, it can be pretty tough.

It takes a long time to pull off, and I can’t believe a 6-minute video can take a long time to edit. I finally get what YouTubers mean when they always say the editing process can be the toughest part of uploading a video. It is easy to do, but it is probably the most time-consuming process of making a video for YouTube. When it comes to my videos, I like to add images of what I’m talking about, to make my videos more immersive.

I’m not sure if that is the correct word to use for something like that, but ignore this rant. I’m not sure why I even brought this up lol.

And I just found out something that I have struggling to figure out for a long time on YouTube. I probably could have done research to find out this part of the video process, but for me, it's all about the experience when it comes to some stuff.

I have been told since last night, I have received my first hour of public watch hours.

There are two ways to get monetized on YouTube. One of them is through public watch hours. I had no idea this process only applied to longer videos. You have to reach about 3,000 to 4,000 to hit the goal. I can't believe I even hit 1 hour's worth. My videos are barely getting views as of right now, but I guess I'm doing something right?

I'm so happy that people are interested in my horror content. I'm a huge horror fan, and this really made my day. I'm so determined to hit my goal of monetization on YouTube...I'm so curious to know how it works!

And I'm really having so much fun with creating these videos. The horror fan in me is loving this!
