Stranger Things Vol. 1 Ended with a Fantastic Twist

Credit to Stranger Things: Will and Vecna Come FACE TO FACE in Season 5 Trailer

The final season to Stranger Things is off to a promising start. The stakes are even higher this time around, and the characters are more than determined to take down Vecna once and for all. The Upside Down is even more of a threat now, with the military refusing to give up on their search for Eleven, knowing that monsters reside within this world.

Vecna is now kidnapping children, building up his own army, giving them their own powers. I believe that he is going to use these children to defeat Eleven, and two shocking allies that are now going to be added to her group.

Eleven had teamed up with Hopper to break into the military lab in the Upside Down, and instead of finding Vecna waiting for them, they found an old friend of Eleven’s that was introduced in season 2, who possesses the same powers that she does. Then we get another shocking ally, a great twist that has been building up for years.

Vecna finally reveals himself to the group, taking down the entire army that is currently residing in Hawkins, to protect the children and the rest of the residents. Vecna wipes out the entire army, and then reveals a shocking secret to Will. He explains to him that he had kidnapped him first, since the very first season of the show, telling him that he had been given his own powers.

But Vecna believed he was weak, and gave up on using him for his own personal gain. After this speech, Vecna leaves Will behind with his mother, and his friends. He commands the monsters to kill the rest of his family and friends, and Will snaps, embracing his true self. His powers become unlocked, and he defeats all three monsters, saving everyone.

His friends and mother watch in shock, as Will is now their new soldier.

It’s a fantastic build up that really paid off during the 10 years we have been watching this show. I can’t believe I didn’t catch how Will was connected to Vecna the whole time, but it makes perfect sense now. Vecna had used him before as a test experiment, but instantly gave up on him when he realized that Will was always weak.

Watching him embrace his powers, and possibly be stronger than Eleven was next level awesome. Something tells me that the next set of episodes are going to be full on battle royales, now that we got two new allies to help Eleven in the fight. And from the close deaths we have gotten in this first half, I think the second part is no longer going to show any mercy.

Vecna is now stronger than ever, and it is going to take a lot of sacrifices in order to defeat this guy.

While I am so excited for the next part, I’m really irritated that Netflix chose to split up the final season in three parts. They had done this in the past with other shows, such as the fourth season of You, and it got a lot of us fans annoyed that we had to wait for the next part to come out.

I’m willing to binge this show all at once, but Netflix chose money and viewership over the fans this time around with the final season.

Like come on, man.

This was one of my most anticipated shows of the year, and we now have to wait until Christmas for the next three episodes, and the last episode is until New Years Eve. I got plans for all those days, and Netflix expects the fans to watch the new episodes during the holidays???

It’s utterly ridiculous.

But other than that, I’m excited for the next parts.

How do you guys feel about this twist? And how do you feel about the other parts of the season we have to wait on?
