I'm Sad We Will Never Get a Rated - R Jurassic Park

I recently started reading the Jurassic Park book, that I had no idea existed. I only read a couple of chapters, and now I’m so sad that we are never going to get a Rated — R Jurassic Park. The book starts off so strong, and I couldn’t believe how violent these deaths were.
We start with two kid deaths, and one kid that gets attacked by a dinosaur, during the first couple of chapters.
It’s a strong start to a novel, and I can’t imagine the kind of Jurassic Park we would have gotten if a different director would have made Jurassic Park. James Cameron was supposed to be the director, but he thought that Steven Spielberg would do the film a much better justice.
I still love Steven’s vision of Jurassic Park. He does throw in some disturbing and violent death scenes, that I thought worked pretty well.
Like that one dude in the sequel to the first Jurassic Park, called The Lost World. I don’t remember his name, but he was a good guy that was trying to save the lives of Ian Malcolm, his girlfriend, and a friend. They had found a baby T — Rex, and wanted to tend to its wound. The parents show up, and attack the trio after the give back the baby.
The friend uses his wits to save the three of them, but ends up getting killed in a brutal way by the parents. They literally rip him in two, each parent getting to eat a part of him. I love how Spielberg never showed mercy to either the good or the bad guys. It added to the realism of the films, that no one is ever safe when it comes to these creatures.
While the films do throw in disturbing sequences of people getting killed in the worse ways, the analog horror videos on YouTube are the best when it comes to the ‘Rated — R horror.’
One video I had seen was so effective, and gave me a feeling of awe and terror. This YouTube video is only about 2 minutes long. It focuses on a small group of divers who are going swimming in the ocean, right by the island filled with the dinosaurs. Of course, these people have no idea about the island, and while they are innocently using their cameras to record their dive, we see some very disturbing footage.
Some of the divers never made it out alive from the ocean. We see a dinosaur swimming in the ocean, roaring toward the divers, as the footage cuts away in seconds, sealing the fate of the divers.
It’s so disturbing, and one of the best analog horror videos I have seen on YouTube. Here is the link, and the title to the video.

Can you imagine how cool it would be if we got a found footage Jurassic Park film? That would be so awesome and terrifying!
It’s a huge shame that we will never see an adult version of Jurassic Park. I’m sure that people would run so fast to watch a Rated — R film, and I wonder how brutal the deaths would have been in a film like this. I bet plot armor wouldn’t exist in this universe at all, because the book version does not believe in plot armor at all. (So far).
I want a Jurassic Park where we get hungry dinosaurs that are willing to eat anyone. I know the tension in a film like this would be so awful for both the audience and the characters.
What a shame that we will never get a Rated — R Jurassic Park.
