Is The Mummy Remake Focusing on a Theme of Family Horror?

 


I finally got to watch the teaser trailer to The Mummy remake, directed by the same dude who did Evil Dead Rise. After watching the trailer, I think I have an idea of what this movie is going to be about. From the looks of the chaos that we see in the trailer, I think a family is going to make a huge mistake. 

They are going to use dark magic to bring their daughter back from the dead, that will lead to their bloody downfall. 

I love how different the remake is to the original black and white Mummy, and the action-adventure film with Brendan Fraser. It truly feels like a completely different reimaging, and I can't wait to watch it!

I also find it so interesting that we are getting the same horror theme that we got in Evil Dead Rise. My theory is that this director is going to be known for having families in his horror films, and it's definitely an original story choice. 

I truly can't wait to watch this movie when it comes out!

Pearl is a Wicked and Horrific Start to a Memorable Horror Trilogy

Mia Goth pulls off such a likable character with terrifying tendencies of murder and mayhem. Pearl  is actually a prequel to one of my favorite horror films,  X , and is the middle chapter in a trilogy. This trilogy was directed by Ti West, and it featured Mia Goth playing two different characters, as both the antagonist and the protagonist in this trilogy. The prequel starts off Mia as the villain, Pearl. Unlike the protagonist, Maxine, that has her dreams come true, Pearl isn’t exactly given the same happy ending. ‘The Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit’ is an Animated Cartoon that is Absolutely Terrifying

The story follows a group of kids on Halloween who are curious to investigate a house known as The Murder House. The group of kids (the kids are actually animals) don’t realize what sort of horrors await inside of the house…and damn…it ends up turning into a fight for survival. The kids are hunted by two people known as the Waterson's, a sheep and a rabbit, (yes, a sheep and a rabbit) who terrorize these poor children. And damn, these deaths do not hold back.
