I Have Watched the Strangest Moment in Television History

I recently watched the ending to episode 3, that showed the strangest sequence in a television show I have ever seen in my life. FBI Agent Dale Cooper claimed that he was having odd dreams, that were helping him solve the case of Laura Palmer, who was found murdered in Twin Peaks.
We finally get a glimpse of one of his dreams, and I…am still trying to figure out what the hell I just watched.
I thought David Lynch’s Eraserhead was a weird experience, but this dream sequence is one of the oddest scenes I have seen in my entire life.
I know that I keep repeating myself, but I genuinely do mean this statement.
I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. EVER.
Dale Cooper meets two strangers, and one of them resembles Laura Palmer. But something is wrong.

Dale Cooper finds himself in a red room, sitting on a small couch. He first sees a small man in a red suit, that appears to be twitching. This scene was pretty creepy right away, and then the man turns to face Cooper, and says, “Let’s rock.”
The red man goes to sit on one of the couches, and Dale sees another person appear, that is Laura Palmer. The man tells Cooper that she is his cousin, and that she does look like Laura. The cousin talks to Cooper, and mentions that her arms can bend backwards sometimes.
The dialogue makes absolutely no sense. The interaction is creepy as hell, because apparently, these two are speaking backwards, yet, Dale is able to understand them. We are also given subtitles for these two strange characters, to help the audience understand what the hell they are saying.
How the hell Dale was able to understand either of them was impressive, but again, this was a dream. Perhaps some part of him did understand what they were saying, and as weird as this sounds, maybe he could see the subtitles?
Then at some point during this odd interaction, the guy in the red suit mentions that he can hear music. A random tune begins in the red room, and he starts to dance in the room. The cousin stands up to go over to Dale. She kisses him on the lips, and then whispers something in his ear.
Dale awakens when the dream ends, and he calls up the sheriff, claiming that she told him the identity of her killer.
I cannot believe Dale didn’t have a freak out moment. If I was in his shoes, I would have started questioning everything, including my own reality. And that’s coming from someone that has odd dreams, but I’ve never had a dream this bizarre!
What’s even more crazy, is that the Sheriff of Twin Peaks, including the police force, are taking Dale’s dreams quite seriously. I decided to watch the next two episodes, and I have recently learned that Laura’s mother was born with some sort of psychic gift. My theory is that Laura is trying to reach out to Dale in some way, because she knows that he is determined to solve her murder.

What I don’t understand is why the dream was so freaking weird. Perhaps the red room has some sort of significance to Laura’s past? And maybe she did know the man in the red suit?
I have no idea what the hell is going on, but I’m going to find out! I’m almost done with the first season, and I can’t wait to write my thoughts on the first season. I have so many questions, and now I really want to know what the hell is going on with the red room!
I was so creeped out and confused, and I can’t wait to finish the season!
