Resident Evil 3 Remake is the Most Disgusting Video Game in the Franchise

Resident Evil 3 was an entertaining adventure game that I felt was way too short. I beat the game in about 3 days, and I feel that the game could have been ten times longer. At least the game gave me an exciting playthrough that I will never forget. I forgot how many times I got anxiety from trying to get the hell away from Nemesis, a giant zombie that was determined to kill me. And he definitely achieved that several times, because when I go into panic mode, it's easy to kill me in videogames.
Another part of the game that I struggled to get through was the disgusting parts. And what I mean by that is the use of bugs and giant fish.
Once the spider nest was introduced in the game, my heart stopped. I couldn't stand how Jill was attacked by one of the spiders, as it shoved an egg down her throat. I struggled to watch that scene, it felt so violating, and I'm sure that was what the developers were going for. I hated traveling through the nest, watching those damn things crawl around and try to get to me...the chills I felt shoot down my back was awful. That entire scene was so tough for me to finish, and it doesn't help that I'm a terrible shot in these games.
The giant fish also really scared the hell out of me. There was something so unnatural about this creature, and it didn't help that it had no eyes.
I was not expecting to fight something like this while I was traveling through the sewers. I did like this callback from Resident Evil 2 remake, because even though the sewers was such an annoying area, it was a challenging area for me. I do like a challenge, but once these faceless creatures were introduced, I instantly wanted to get the hell out of the area. I was not expecting giant creatures to slide through a huge hole into the sewer, ready to attack me.
I made the mistake of shooting the creature up close, and I was not expecting that sudden death moment. I freaked out when the creature suddenly ate my character, and I cringed when the creature bent back Jill's back, as it consumed her whole. So, I was obviously happy when I was done with the sewers, until I got to a random area toward the end of the game. Why the game felt the need to torture me again with the fish monster pissed me off. The thought of that faceless monster coming after me gave me another anxiety attack, and I was terrified of getting killed again.
I know this is just a game, but the graphics to the new Resident Evil remakes have been on point. Resident Evil 3 remake is the only one that broke me so far, and that's pretty surprising coming from my least favorite game in the franchise. I'm not saying it's a bad game, but the length of the playthrough needed at least 5 more hours for it to be much more effective. I prefer long games, and I literally beat Resident Evil 4 remake twice, and that game was freaking long.
Even though I couldn't stand the bugs and the creepy fish, this game did its job of freaking me out. These kinds of levels in the Resident Evil games are so horrifying, and we need more of these scenes!
Hopefully we will continue to get more messed-up levels like this throughout the Resident Evil franchise.
