My Biggest Problem with the Twilight Franchise

Twilight became a huge hit years later when the franchise was first released. It gained a massive fan base, when it came to the story, the love triangle, and of course, the books which led to the creation of the films.
Personally, I was not a fan of Twilight at all.
I understand why people were a fan of the franchise, but I have a huge problem with the story for several reasons. I'm not saying that the whole franchise was bad, because when it came to the lore of the monsters, I thought there were actually pretty decent ideas. I liked how the vampires had their own clan, while the werewolves had issues with a family of vampire wanting to look after a young human girl.
It's not bad writing, but when it came to several storylines within the franchise, it kind of took me out of the interesting ideas that were present.
I didn't like the stupid love triangle between the three main characters...and the way that it was resolved was very problematic.
Bella was the main character of the franchise, and she had developed romantic feelings for two different characters. She fell in love with Edward, the vampire, and gained feelings for a werewolf named Jacob. The love triangle between all three of them was beyond annoying on so many levels. It felt childish at times, and I got fed up when Bella decided to kiss Jacob to make him feel better before he left her with Edward. I couldn't believe that Edward was alright with that, especially when Bella admitted she had feelings for Jacob, and he excused it, because she loved Edward more.
I get that these two characters are monsters, but I'm surprised that Edward didn't get super pissed off here. That is cheating, no matter how you look at this scene. Hell, Jacob danced with Bella after she got married to Edward, and they literally had a romantic moment by themselves on her wedding day. How the hell was Edward alright with this???
And of course, the worst part...was how the franchise fixed up the love triangle. Bella gets pregnant with Edward's child, and gives birth to a baby girl. Edward turns her into a vampire to save her life. While she is recovering, Jacob is about to confront the situation when he locks eyes with Bella's child...and he gets imprinted by her. Which means...that he had fallen in love with her. This added storyline pissed off so many fans. This moment ruins Jacob's character completely, and knowing that he is going to be with the child of Bella and Edward when she is older...is extremely disturbing on so many levels.
How Edward was alright with this realization was insane. At least Bella had a realistic reaction when she beat the crap out of Jacob.
Honestly, the love triangle ruins the whole franchise for me. It's annoying, and the way that the writers had fixed the love triangle was 100% a bad idea. I wish this had been turned into a sibling dynamic instead, because maybe Jacob could have moved on from Bella, by becoming a brotherly figure to her daughter instead. It would have been an awesome way to end the love triangle, but instead, we got this freaking odd idea that never should have been added in the films.
Apparently this also happens in the books...so I do question why the writers for the films felt the need to include this. I get why it's cool to be faithful to the books, but surely they could have changed up this storyline for the movies???
Overall, the love triangle in Twilight was dumb, and for this reason, I'm not sure if I will ever watch the Twilight franchise.
