Andy and Lucy Brennan Was the Cutest Couple in Twin Peaks: The Return

I was so happy to finally get a glimpse into the marries life of Andy and Lucy Brennan. They were a slow burn romance in the old seasons, and even though they did date for a short period of time, it was obvious that they still wanted to be together. Their relationship was officially confirmed in the final episode of season 2, and their marriage is fully shown in the final season of Twin Peaks.

Andy and Lucy both act goofy with each other, but they both portray moments of being stronger when it comes to wanting to protect each other. One moment with Andy was when he was contacted by an entity from the Red Room, warning him about Cooper's evil doppelganger coming to the police department. One of the few things that Andy really focused on was his wife during a vision he got from this entity. He becomes determined to protect her, and he literally follows the vision step by step, to ensure the safety of everyone in the police department, including his wife.

Another moment I thought was so sweet was when they were fighting over what couch to pick for their future study room in their home. They argue over which couch would be best for this study room, and in the end, Andy tells Lucy to get the one she wants. Lucy ends up purchasing the one that Andy wants instead, a smile on her face. That scene alone proved their love for each other, it was such a simple moment, but it was still so romantic.

I was also thrilled to see that Andy and Lucy had a son together. Lucy's pregnancy was hinted from the old seasons, and we see their son, Wally, all grown up. He was portrayed as a very kind young man, who was quite intelligent. He was busy traveling the world, and he had come by the police department to thank the new sheriff, who had taken over the position of Harry Truman. The way that Wally talked about his parents really proved to me that Lucy and Andy were truly the perfect couple. Even though they weren't exactly perfect, their love for each other was powerful, and it really shined through their son, Wally.

I was so happy to see this couple get their happy ending; they truly deserved the best life after everything they went through in Twin Peaks.
