Twin Peaks: Lonely Souls is the Best Episode of the Series

Image
Credit to “Twin Peaks” Lonely Souls (TV Episode 1990) — IMDb Twin Peaks has been a fantastic show, but episode 7 from season 2 is hands down the best episode of the entire series so far. So many pieces of the puzzle are finally coming together for Laura Palmer’s murder, but the last thing we see before the episode ends was a shocking reveal that left me feeling disturbed and scared.  Dale Cooper and his new allies from the Twin Peaks sheriff department are able to get new evidence for the death of Laura Palmer. Through the help of Donna and Madeline, Laura’s cousin, they are able to get a secret diary of Laura’s, that was in the possession of a strange man named Harold Smith.  His death was a bit mixed for me, because even though I did find his character interesting, there was important information in that diary that should have been given to the authorities ahead of the investigation. One name that had been mentioned in the diary was Benjamin Horne, the father of Audre...

Donna from Twin Peaks Has Become the Most Annoying Character on the Show

Image
Credit to  Costuming Peaks - Donna Hayward in the Twin Peaks Pilot | TWIN PEAKS BLOG I loved Donna in the first season, but her character in season 2 is now becoming so irritating to watch. I don't mind her insistence on wanting to know who killed Laura, because Laura was her best friend after all, but the stupid love triangle she is involved in is ruining her character for me.  James and Donna were so cute in the first season, and once Madeline, Laura's cousin who looks just like was introduced to the show, I feel that Donna has lost her mind. I get why she is jealous, but the way she is trying to show off her dominance to James has been getting to me during season 2. She has been noticing the closeness between James and Madeline, and it's obvious that James was going to fall for Madeline, since he literally used to date Laura before her death.  Donna is aware of this, and I assumed her character would eventually accept this and move on, but the way she is acting ...

Is There a Way to Avoid Getting a Copyright Strike for Your YouTube Videos?

Image
Credit to YouTube’s New Copyright Transparency Report Leaves a Lot Out | Electronic Frontier Foundation I have uploaded quite a few times this week on YouTube, and I have gotten about two copyright strikes so far. My video wasn’t threatened with getting taken down, but if I had already been monetized, there could have been a chance that those two copyright strikes could have affected me somehow.  I want to find a way how to avoid getting a copyright strike for my channel.  The reason that I got two copyright strikes for two of my YouTube videos, was because I used footage from two horror movies.  Screenshot of my videos that got copyright strikes. From the video based on the Thing, I got a copyright strike for using actual footage from the movie, because I had purchased the film through YouTube. I had recorded several scenes from the film to use as a sort of analysis format, since I was talking about my personal theories as to what happened to one of the main chara...

Did Dead Silence Deserve so Much Hate?

Image
Credit to https://www.themoviebuff.net/2014/10/dead-silence-r/ I have watched Dead Silence years ago, and I thought it was one of the coolest concepts I have seen in the horror genre. The plot was pretty entertaining, and even though there were several cheesy moments, the film was genuinely creepy when it came to the dolls. The kills were gnarly, and the main character had a great motivation with wanting to solve the mystery behind his girlfriend's murder. It was a great film from beginning to end, and I don't understand why this film was criticized so harshly from fans and critics. The main villain is one of the biggest reasons why this film worked so well. An old woman was obsessed with her dolls, including one random doll that looked like Slappy from Goosebumps. I don't really remember why the old lady's spirit started killing people, but her motivation to kill her victims is awesome and terrifying. If you see her and scream, she will bit off your tongue, leaving b...

Moriarty Should Have Been Alive for the Final Season of Sherlock

Image
Credit to YouTube The Sherlock BBC show has been over for almost a decade now, and the final season received a lot of mixed reactions. While I was thrilled with the final installment, there was one major thing that I felt should have been included in the final season. I kept expecting Moriarty to return. And yes, I know that his character did die in season 2, but there was one theory that I thought was genius.  What if Moriarty had a secret twin brother? And what if he was the one who shot himself on the rooftop with Sherlock during the season finale of season 2? This theory does sound dumb, but this theory actually makes a lot of sense.  And it’s all thanks to a running gag in the show between Sherlock and John. Credit to BBC One — Sherlock, Series 2 During some cases that Sherlock and John are trying to solve, John sometimes assumes that twins are involved in a crime. Sherlock always reassures John that ‘it’s never twins,’ and I honestly thought this gag was some...

Twin Peaks is a Unique Crime Masterpiece of Mystery and Twists

Image
Credit to Everything you need to know before tonight’s ‘Twin Peaks’ premiere — Los Angeles Times I have finally finished the first season to Twin Peaks, and I have to admit, I haven’t been this addicted to a TV show like this in a long time. The characters, the plot, the multiple betrayals along with twists and turns that I never see coming, including a possible supernatural twist…this season is a masterpiece.  This is also one of the few shows that leaves behind so many unanswered questions with just one season, and the execution is amazing. I finally understand why Twin Peaks is considered to be one of the most popular crime shows ever created. David Lynch and Mark Frost were the perfect duo for this show, along with the cast that each played their parts perfectly well.  I love how the season focused on one murder case, leaving more questions than answers for the viewers. Laura Palmer was discovered dead in the first episode, and this brutal murder leads to the introd...

5 Horror Books that Deserve a Cult Following

Image
Credit to 5 Real World Benefits of Reading Books I read some pretty random horror novels this time around. I did enjoy the stories immensely; these were some of the best I have read so far in 2026. And one of these books isn’t horror per say, but it was a great read nonetheless! This is one of those rare times where I decided to read random horror genres, and I was so happy with the selection of books I purchased from Barnes & Noble during my last visit.  I wanted to do something different this time with the books. I normally go for disturbing horror or slasher horror. I wanted to pick the most random selection of horror novels, to give myself a different kind of reading experience.  And one of these books happened to be The Godfather, that was a last-minute decision, because I heard this was one of the best books written of all time. (I had heard this bold statement from fans, and I said screw it, since I enjoyed the movie quite a bit, perhaps the book is just as g...

I Have Watched the Strangest Moment in Television History

Image
Credit to Twin Peaks Episode 2: David Lynch’s Dance of the Dream Man | TV Obsessive I recently watched the ending to episode 3, that showed the strangest sequence in a television show I have ever seen in my life. FBI Agent Dale Cooper claimed that he was having odd dreams, that were helping him solve the case of Laura Palmer, who was found murdered in Twin Peaks. We finally get a glimpse of one of his dreams, and I…am still trying to figure out what the hell I just watched.  I thought David Lynch’s Eraserhead was a weird experience, but this dream sequence is one of the oddest scenes I have seen in my entire life.  I know that I keep repeating myself, but I genuinely do mean this statement.  I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. EVER.  Dale Cooper meets two strangers, and one of them resembles Laura Palmer. But something is wrong.  Credit to Dale Enters the Red Room (S1, E3) | Twin Peaks | SHOWTIME on Paramount+ Dale Cooper finds himself in a red roo...

Gonjiam Haunted Asylum is a Haunting Found Footage Film

Image
Credit to Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (2018) — IMDb I had seen this movie years ago, about 4 years ago, I believe. This film traumatized me so much, that I struggled to even watch all of the scenes taking place. This is one of those films I consider to be ‘ugly scary’ which means it scared the shit out of me. This movie messed with my head, and I was afraid of dark spaces for perhaps one day.  Even though it was such a short amount of time, this movie made me question if anything was following me around, and I couldn’t stand this awful feeling. It’s a very simple film, but the scares are so EFFECTIVE.  The way that these people suffered was so uncalled for, and I think only one dude actually deserved it. These young people wanted to do a live broadcast, to get views through YouTube, and become famous. Their asshole boss/leader was a total piece of shit in the movie. I felt that out of all of them, he was the most determined to make his dreams come true, while the rest of th...

Why Josh's Disappearance from the Blair Witch Project Bothers Me So Much

Image
Credit to ‘Blair Witch’ star blasts ’25 years of disrespect’ amid reboot news While The Blair Witch Project has multiple theories or creepy mysteries that have plagued many horror fans, there is one mystery that scares me the most. Josh is one of the main characters in the film, who travels with the main three who get lost in the woods while filming a project for college.  Wanting to do a project on the Blair Witch goes horribly wrong, and Josh is the first one to either go missing, or be killed offscreen.  And while we don’t see what happens to Heather, or question why Mike was standing in the corner toward the end of the movie, we never get any sort of closure as to what really happened to Josh.  His character goes missing out of nowhere, during the second half of the film.  Credit to The Blair Witch Project Ending: Who Actually Did The Killing? | Cinemablend While the crew was hiding in the tent from another yet awful encounter with the Blair Witch, or...

Why Scream 7 is Not One of My Anticipated Horror Movies of 2026

Image
Credit to Scream 7 (2026) — IMDb I know that I probably talked about this topic a long time ago, but I feel that maybe I should provide a much more thorough explanation. Scream 7 is already coming out this month, and I’m not looking forward to the movie at all. I don’t like to be so negative about horror movies like this, but like other horror fans, something ruined the excitement of this reboot.  After the success of Scream 5 and 6, I was freaking excited to see the continuation of the sisters’ storyline. The ending of Scream 6 was possibly heavily implying that the older sister, who turned out to be the daughter of Billy Loomis from the first Scream film, was going to be become like her father. My theory is that the little sister, Tara, was going to have no choice but to kill her older sister, due to her going insane, like her father.  The ending to Scream 6 left me freaking out, and I was so excited for the new film, only to have the excitement taken away from me bef...

Is Michael Corleone a Victim or a Villain?

Image
Credit to https://www.looper.com/1312323/transformation-the-godfather-michael-corleone/ The one thing that has always baffled me with the first Godfather film, is the journey of Michael’s transformation as a character. He goes from a war veteran to a corrupt mob boss, a transformation that makes him a cold-blooded killer.  The one thing that many fans have talked about on the Internet, was the theory with whether or not Michael is a victim of awful circumstances that he had no control over.  In my opinion, Michael is not a victim.  He had every right to choose a different path in his life, and avoid becoming the new Godfather. He easily could have run away, before he allowed himself to become a monster. He was already leading the perfect life, being known as a war hero, while dating a beautiful woman named Kay, who truly loved him.  He only returns to the family when he hears about the attempted murder of his father, and he offers to kill two people that were ...

Silent Hill: Townfall Looks Promising

Image
Credit to  Silent Hill: Townfall ditches tradition and goes full first-person survival horror | PC Gamer I have watched the new trailer to Silent Hill: Townfall, and I think we could be getting another great masterpiece. I still haven't played Silent Hill F yet, but I did hear that the game did get some praise from fans, so I'm sure we are going to be introduced to another great game for the franchise. I'm glad that this franchise is getting new games. While it's awesome that we are getting remakes to our favorite Silent Hill games, we were in desperate need for new games coming in for this franchise.  Townfall is going to be following a brand-new character named Simon, who ends up in Silent Hill for an unknown reason. The monster designs look horrific, kind of like how the monster designs were like for Silent Hill 2 and 3. We are also getting a first-person point of view this time around, and I'm not sure how to feel about this development yet.  I'm so used t...
