5 Horror Novels that are Not for the Faint of Heart

Image
Credit to Here’s why R-rated horror movies are making a comeback on the big screen I have recently started on my second batch of books, and I have been so impressed with the horror stories I have read this year. It’s like 2026 was the year meant for extreme horror, and so far, I have not been the least disappointed in the books I have found! The deaths in these novels are also pretty tough to read, and I can’t believe that I accidentally found a bunch of horror novels that stuck to the genre of gore. Only one of the books wasn’t as gory, but the implications behind the deaths was pretty shocking enough, so I thought it had to be included in the list! I guarantee that many horror fans are going to love these messed up stories! Picture of the five books.  5. Psycho by Robert Bloch I was so happy that I finally got to read the book, that was the story behind Alfred Hitchcock’s movie version of the novel! I was not expecting the over the top murders depicted in the story! We fol...

Primate is the Perfect B - Rated Horror Movie of the Year

Image
Credit to PRIMATE Review — Knight Krier I was thrilled that I finally got to check out this movie in theaters. I decided to wait until I was able to go on $5 Tuesday at the Cinemark, because since this was deemed to be a B — rated horror movie, I wanted to wait for $5 Tuesday. I don’t really like to spend money at the theater when it comes to particular films, and I definitely misjudged this film before watching it.  It was pretty mixed with reviews, so I was expecting at least, a decent watch. Instead, I was met with a heartfelt family horror film, who invite a group of friends to spend time with them at their home, only to be ruthlessly attacked by their pet chimp, named Ben.  The movie perfectly sets up the family’s love for Ben, and he represented a symbol of love for the family. He had belonged to the main character’s mother, who had sadly passed away from cancer. It made sense why the family adored Ben, they saw him as another member of the family. Watching the gr...

John Carpenter's The Thing is a Paranoia Induced Nightmare of Body Horror Terror

Image
Credit to John Carpenter’s The Thing (1982). The Thing is a timeless classic that I keep finding myself returning to. I have seen this film a total of 6 times, and every new watch feels like a different experience. I would study every detail of the film, and it does surprise me how I forget certain parts of the story. I think it has to do with the terror that I feel coming from the main group of men in the story, because it’s one of the few horror films where I feel so sorry for the victims.  I consider this film to be in the top 5 worst ways to die in a horror film. The thought of being trapped in the middle of nowhere with no way out, knowing that something not human is hunting you is the worst feeling in the world. It’s a different level of terror that I hope to never experience, and it’s brilliantly executed by the main cast in the story.  Each man in the group plays a huge part for the film, watching these men try to survive against something that scares the shit o...

Horror Fans Would Love Dragon Age Inquisition

Image
Credit to  We Want Comics: Dragon Age – Multiversity Comics Dragon Age Inquisition was my first medieval RPG game that I started to play during my college years, and I instantly fell in love with the game. Even though the gameplay was a bit mixed with many fans, the story, the characters, and the horror elements presented throughout the story are what makes the game work for me as a fan.  We focus on the Inquisitor, a random character that we get to play that becomes the leader of a kingdom, using a power to hold off a huge threat known as The Fade, along with an old foe that is determined to end the world. We as the player work together with multiple friends and comrades to defeat all kinds of demons, people, or even monsters.  One sequence that worked so well for me was when the player has the choice to side with a group of knights, powerful soldiers who are willing to fight alongside the player. The Inquisitor is pulled into a nightmarish hellscape during the Fa...
